<p>A young man in his 20s was shot dead in Tira on Tuesday evening. He was evacuated to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba in serious condition, where he was later pronounced dead.</p><p>The police have opened an investigation into the shooting. The background to the incident appears to be a conflict between criminal elements in the city.</p>

A young Pakistani residing in Canada and suspected of planning a mass attack on the Chabad Center in New York has been extradited to the US.

<p>Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar thanked US Secretary Marco Rubio for his statement condemning the sanctions on Ministers Smotrich and Ben Gvir. </p><p>“Thank you Secretary of State, a clear moral voice, a voice of a true friend. Israeli Samuel Vengrinovich was last seen on a mountainous trail in northern India, and his whereabouts are unknown. A rescue unit and Israelis in the area are searching for him.

<p>Argentina's Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld the fraud conviction of former president Cristina Kirchner, for which she received a six-year prison sentence and was banned from holding public office for life.</p><p>"The sentences handed down by the previous courts were based on the abundance of evidence produced," the Supreme Court wrote in its ruling.</p>
