<p>Two people were killed in a helicopter crash near the Mississippi River in Illinois, the US Coast Guard announced.</p><p>As a result of the accident, the river was closed to traffic near Alton, Illinois.</p>

<p>A senior official in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terrorist organization told <i>Al Jazeera</i> on Thursday night that a member of the organization’s central committee, Abu Khalil Wishah, was eliminated in one of the strikes in Lebanon along with his companion.
